Nazma is a dedicated Business Developer for the largest cardiology center in the Netherlands at Amsterdam UMC Heart Center/Innovation Exchange Amsterdam (IXA). Her drive is to translate innovative therapeutic strategies by connecting science with business. She connects (pre)clinical expertise to life science industry partners in her current role.

She performed her Ph.D. at the laboratory of Experimental Cardiology at UMC Utrecht. Her research specialized in the therapeutic development of nanomedicine combined with CRISPR-Cas9 gene therapy to prevent adverse cardiac events in high-risk patients.

Nazma writes articles for the BCF Career platform as an external editorial contributor and is a junior Ambassador for the TOPX Network.
