After his PhD research on multi-biomarker PK/PD approaches in neuropharmacology, Dr. Van den Brink joined TNO in 2018. Currently, he is working in the TNO Systems Biology team as a medior scientist. Within the overarching theme ‘quantifying health and lifestyle effects on health and disease’ his focus is on digital biomarker development. At TNO, in collaboration with clinical, digital health, and pharma partners, he is a driving force in connecting multiple disciplines, leading several projects bringing together sensor technology, data science, social innovation and clinical domain knowledge towards and health applications related chronic lifestyle related diseases, such as metabolic syndrome, diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, inflammatory bowel disease, sleep apnea, and cardiovascular disease.
