Bart Scheerder is chairman of the Dutch Clinical Research Foundation (DCRF), working to strengthen the clinical research ecosystem in the Netherlands. Drawing on his experience in international clinical trials, contract research and academic research, he understands the practical realities of running studies across institutions and borders. Through DCRF, he focuses on reducing fragmentation, accelerating study start-up and improving collaboration between researchers, patients, hospitals, industry, regulators and government. Alongside this role, he works at UMCG on strategy and partnerships in AI, with a focus on responsible innovation and implementation in healthcare.
