 Make biotech work at Biotech Booster!

Biotech Booster is a new program, financed by the Dutch National Growth Fund. The aim is to accelerate and improve the commercialization of biotechnology findings, both from academia and from industry. We do this by providing early-stage capital to obtain proof-of-concept, and by strengthening the technology transfer ecosystem in biotechnology. This will be achieved by appointing 30 biotechnology business developers at academic technology transfer offices and 10 impact developers at the universities of applied sciences. Nettie Buitelaar | Managing Director | Biotech Booster

Nettie Buitelaar is managing director of the Biotech Booster program. Her sweet spot is the integration of science and business in biotechnology. After a PhD in bioprocess engineering in Wageningen and about a decade in applied research and an MBA study she worked in the investment world in biotechnology after which she headed the BioPartner program. She then led the Leiden Bio Science Park into its current growth path and had her own biotech company. She forms a close team with colleagues Keshen Mathura, Rein Strijker and Dorus Velema, supported by an active working group and many others in the Biotech Booster community.
