About Sander van Asbeck | CEO & Founder, RiboPro

Sander is a biomedical scientist with a focus on poly-nucleotides and nano-particle drugs. He holds a Msc in Biomedical Sciences from the Radboud University Nijmegen and performed his PhD on messenger RNA (mRNA)-based drugs under the supervision of Prof. Brock. Based on this experience, he founded Mercurna in 2017 to develop mRNA-based drugs and spun-off mRNA supplier and service provider RiboPro earlier this year. Over the past year, he has guided RiboPro through an exciting start-up period, accumulating in a successful seed funding round. He combines his management and scientific skills to support RiboPro’s customers with the latest mRNA technology in their research, therapeutic and vaccine ambitions.
