About Mira Gleisberg | CEO and cofounder at Respic

Mira Gleisberg is a health entrepreneur, and strategist, who thrives on challenge, impact and helping people live healthier. RespiQ is the second company she founded. Mira comes from a strategy consulting background at McKinsey & Company and Eden McCallum. More than half of her 18 years career, she worked in healthcare and disease prevention, most recently at Philips. There she managed building a medical grade personalized behavioural change programs for chronic disease prevention. She holds a master in Medical Biology and a master in Media Technology both from Leiden University. She is also an ex-gymnast (competed on an international level).

RespiQ is a Dutch based start-up developing a breakthrough smart breath testing device to empower COPD patients to manage their health while decreasing health care related costs for COPD patients.
There are many uncertainties for people living with COPD. A lung attack can occur at any given moment and existing tests often indicate it too late; generally resulting in a worsening of COPD symptoms, often resulting in hospitalization.
RespiQ’s smart handheld breathalyser will offer a non-invasive and affordable health monitoring solution that enables COPD patients to easily monitor their health daily at home. Smart predictive algorithms analyse the breath and provide instant health insights. Clinicians can remotely review patients’ data which will allow for earlier intervention with the aim to prevent lung attacks, and hospitalisation.

Our goal is to enable COPD patients, and their care takers, to take control over their disease, and subsequently diminishing uncertainties, staying healthier and spending more time enjoying their lives. Read more.
