About Ahmed Khalil | CEO at ELEMANTA Labs

Ahmed Khalil, founder and CEO of Elementa labs, is a scientist and entrepreneur who is passionate about bringing science and business together.

After his BSc. in pharmaceutical sciences, he kicked off his professional career in sales and business development in big pharma with a remarkable track record of +4 years. Later on he decided to shift his career back to the lab by doing his MSc. in Medical and pharmaceutical drug innovation at the University of Groningen. He specialised in cancer immunotherapy working in different research labs around the Netherlands for 3 years.

Throughout his work in the lab, Ahmed was frustrated by the inefficiencies that face researchers on a daily basis. He decided to combine his knowledge and expertise to start his own company ELEMENTA to advance the out-dated ways of conducting scientific research and handling research data.

About ELEMENTA Labs

Elementa is a highly specialised voice assistant for life sciences and R&D laboratories. Elementa enables research labs in the space of drug discovery and R&D to gain control over their data, by producing highly accurate research data and ensuring data integrity.

Although Elementa labs was only founded a year ago, the team behind Elementa was able to excel fast in their journey. Starting with a total funds of 125K, the team was able to develop a state-of-art technology based on testing and evaluations from more than 100 scientists around Europe. In addition, Elementa's team was able to showcase the added value of implementing voice assistants in the lab and created collaborations with 4 Electronic Lab Notebook companies.

Currently the company is taking part in the imec.istart accelerator program and preparing for the commercial launch of their product with 7 launching companies, including big pharma. The team is on a mission to create a paradigm shift in life sciences labs to make the drug innovation process more efficient, fast and economic by harnessing the power of data.
