Medical devices cause 70% of healthcare associated infections. Biofilm formation on the surface of these devices is the critical initial step in the process towards infection. Our coating kills the bacteria before they form a biofilm.

Our technology is based on immobilized quaternary ammonium compounds (QACs). The coating is effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The coating can be applied to all kinds of surfaces. Our R&D focus has been on the application on titanium and PDMS. Read more
