About Alain Segers | Consultant VIB

Alain Segers, PhD, has more than 25 years of experience in the Biotech & MedTech Industry. He holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Brussels. He was active in several executive business roles and built various commercial organizations for Baxter, SangStat Medical (now Genzyme), and Gambro BCT (now Terumo). In 2008 Alain founded CRESCOMED, a consultancy company active in the life science segment. Recently, he teamed up with  VIB for the creation of a new venture, “BioDegrader”.


About BioDegrader 

BioDegrader is the working title for a new venture being created by VIB. The company will  develop next-generation targeted protein degradation biotherapeutics, based on a highly robust and engineerable protein scaffold. With the support of the VIB ecosystem, the company is dedicated to contribute to cancer and immune therapies in a meaningful way. Read more.
