Henk Joos | General Manager & Director, AGIO Capital & Business Solutions

Henk Joos started his professional career in Plant Genetic Systems after a PhD in genetics (University Ghent). In PGS, Henk was instrumental in setting up a successful Hybrid Canola Business in Canada and in the sale of PGS to AgrEvo. Henk had subsequently international positions with AgrEvo, Aventis Crop Science and Bayer CropScience. In 2006, Henk continued his international activities towards the development of new energy crops in D1 Oils and Quinvita. In 2013 Henk became managing director of FlandersBio, Under his leadership FlandersBio grew to 350 members, financial self-sufficiency and a cluster with international fame. The cluster was migrated from a biotech association towards a life sciences driven economic network. Since 2018,  Henk is the Director Life Sciences and healthcare for AGIO Capital and Business Solutions. AGIO Capital has assisted the negotiation of 8 transactions (equity or business) between Life sciences companies (mostly in Europe) and Investors or Business partners based in Asia. In these transactions a total value of 100M+ € has been created for the clients of AGIO Capital.
